Total module duration: 60 hours

All courses must include a minimum number of hours for observation, teaching practicum, and physical assessment, to be completed between any STOTT PILATES facility sessions. Additional training may be required for students to meet standards prior to certification. The quantity of teaching practicum hours and physical review must be recorded outside of classroom hours. Practicum logs must be submitted by your examination date (written or practical exam). If a student does not submit all of these practicum logs within 7 days from the final portion of the assessment, the entire assessment will be voided.
Observation, Teaching Practicum, and Physical Assessment
The observation hours can be recorded in homework assignments of the relevant course or after STOTT PILATES courses, and can be accumulated by watching STOTT PILATES Certified Instructors teaching clients (in-person or online), as well as watching related course videos on DVDs or through Merrithew Connect™. We recommend that you complete 50-80% of your hours by observing STOTT PILATES Certified Instructors. Please ensure you have obtained permission from Merrithew Training Center and/or have communicated with the Instructor beforehand.
Observation
Physical review hours entail practicing the physical exercises learned in class. Reviewing the actual material is crucial to ensure your full understanding within your own body before attempting to teach others. It is also important as it prepares your body for the increasing challenges at each level of exercises as you progress through the Training Course aimed at becoming a STOTT PILATES® instructor. Participating in a class with a STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor or working out with related course videos on DVDs or through Merrithew Connect can be considered as physical assessment hours and can be completed individually or with fellow students.

Students can take part in an online Pilates session or join an online group Pilates class taught by a STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor. Students can also attend Merrithew's online Workshops (offered by Merrithew Training Centers worldwide or Corporate Training Centers).
Physical Assessment
Teaching Practicum hours can be completed by instructing segments of STOTT PILATES courses to family members, peers, friends, or clients, providing cues and corrections to them through an exercise. Teaching Practicum can be performed in person or by utilizing online video conferencing platforms, such as Skype or Zoom.

Student Feedback

I participated in the Intensive Reformer (IR) Instructor Training Course at Paragate. With the international certification and specialized knowledge I acquired, I have gained the confidence to become a Pilates Instructor. This has opened up broader career opportunities and significantly improved my income compared to before.
Minh Anh - IR Instructor
Pilates is currently a global hot trend, but it's relatively new in Vietnam. I've been practicing this discipline at Paragate for a while and have truly experienced its effectiveness. I'm becoming more passionate about it due to the enthusiastic guidance of the instructors. I'm in the process of refining my skills to become an International Pilates Instructor.
Ms Ly - Hanoi
The first impressive thing about the training course organized by Paragate in collaboration with Merrithew is the top-notch international instructors, who are not only highly skilled but also very friendly. The imported equipment and the million-dollar view are also remarkable. After the training course, I received a lot of support in terms of specialized knowledge, materials, and connections with many other professional trainers. Thank you very much, Paragate.
